Test Food Intolerance

Unlike a food allergy, which is your body’s immune response to a specific food, a food intolerance is your body’s response to the food without activating your immune system. There are various mechanisms that can lead to food intolerance. These include deficiencies in enzymes (as in lactose intolerance) or your gastrointestinal tract may simply struggle to keep up with your diet or other factors in the digestive process. Symptoms can sometimes only appear several hours after eating and last hours to days afterwards.
